Samaritan House, Charlotte North Carolina

A Healing Haven for the Homeless

For more than 13 years, Samaritan House has been a place of recuperative care for people who are homeless and in need of short term care following a hospital or emergency room stay. Although we were established out of our Christian faith, Samaritan House is intended and operated as a place of healing and hospitality for all persons.

Samaritan House volunteers have come to be known as "The Heart of Samaritan House" and for good reason. On a daily basis our volunteers who work closely with our staff are who help keep Samaritan House running smoothly keeping it the great place it has become. Samaritan House offers many different volunteer opportunities. From individuals to groups to those individuals ordered through the courts for community service, we offer opportunities including yard work and landscaping, inside chores, guest interaction and assistance as well as preparing and serving a meal for our guests.
